Cookie Policy

Effective Date: 13 May 2026  |  PinkBazaar (pinkbazaar.in)

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit. They help the site remember things like your login state, your chosen location, and how you interact with the pages. We also use similar technologies such as browser localStorage, which works the same way โ€” this policy covers both.

2. Cookies we use

PinkBazaar uses cookies in three categories. You can accept or reject each category from the Cookie Preferences dialog (also linked in the site footer).

CategoryPurposeCookie namesLifetime
Strictly Necessary
(always on)
Required for the site to function โ€” login sessions, form security (CSRF), basic navigation, business owner PIN access. PHPSESSID, pb_consent Session / 12 months
Functional
(opt-in)
Saves your chosen city/location so you don't need to re-enter it on every visit. pb_user_loc 12 months
Analytics
(opt-in)
Anonymous traffic measurement via Google Analytics โ€” pages viewed, traffic sources, device type. Helps us improve the site. Never used for advertising. _ga, _ga_*, _gid Up to 24 months
Strictly Necessary cookies are exempt from consent requirements under EU ePrivacy law. They are loaded as soon as you visit the site because the site cannot function without them. All other cookies (Functional, Analytics) are loaded only after you grant consent.

3. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by third parties:

  • Google Analytics โ€” owned by Google LLC. Anonymized IP addresses; no advertising profiles. Read Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or social-media tracking pixels.

Google Consent Mode v2. We use Google's official Consent Mode (v2). Until you grant Analytics consent, the Google Analytics tag runs in privacy-preserving mode: no cookies are set, no personal data is collected, and only anonymized aggregate "pings" are sent so we can still count total page views. When you accept Analytics, the tag upgrades to standard mode and may set the cookies listed in section 2.

4. Managing your preferences

You can change your cookie preferences at any time in three ways:

  • Click the Cookie Preferences link here or in the footer of every page.
  • Clear cookies and site data in your browser to be re-prompted on your next visit.
  • Configure your browser to block all cookies โ€” note that Strictly Necessary cookies will be blocked too, which means logins and forms will stop working.

We re-ask for your preferences once every 12 months so you can update your choice.

5. What happens if you reject optional cookies

You can use PinkBazaar fully even if you reject Functional and Analytics cookies. The differences:

  • You will need to re-set your location each session (no saved preference).
  • Your visit will not be counted in our anonymous analytics.
  • Owner login, browsing, contacting businesses, and submitting reviews continue to work.

6. Your rights under GDPR

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with similar laws, you have specific rights regarding your personal data. See our Privacy Policy for full details on access, rectification, deletion, portability, and objection rights.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" at the top of the page reflects the latest revision. Significant changes (e.g. adding a new cookie category or third-party tool) will trigger a fresh consent prompt.
