About the Brand
Quirksmith is an Indian handcrafted jewellery and lifestyle brand founded in 2016 by sisters Divya Batra Das and Pragya Batra. What began as a passion project with a modest investment of ₹40,000 has grown into a nationally and internationally recognised brand known for its distinctive silver jewellery, poetic storytelling, and woman-led vision.
At a time when silver jewellery was largely viewed as a secondary accessory and the industry remained male-dominated, Quirksmith set out to challenge conventions—bringing design innovation, emotional expression, and female leadership to the forefront.
Founders & Leadership
👩🎨 Divya Batra Das – Co-Founder | Head of Design & Production
A NIFT (2004) gold medalist, Divya brings deep creative expertise to Quirksmith. She has previously worked with Amrapali Jaipur and led the design studio at FabJewels Ltd for over a decade. Her accolades include being among the Top 3 winners at AuDITIONS 07–08, one of the world’s most prestigious gold couture competitions. At Quirksmith, she leads design, product development, and production.
👩💼 Pragya Batra – Co-Founder | Head of Marketing & Sales
An IIT Delhi (2007) and INSEAD (2012) alumna, Pragya brings strategic depth from her experience at Bain & Company and as Head of Strategy & Revenue Operations at InMobi. She oversees brand strategy, growth, marketing, and sales at Quirksmith.
Together, the sisters have built a brand that is creative, purpose-driven, and women-first.
